Core Energy, LLC is headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan and was founded in 2003 by Robert G. Mannes (3rd generation in the Michigan Oil & Gas Industry). 

What we do:

• Conduct Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) operations in depleted reservoirs by injecting CO2 into the reservoir.
• Generate exploratory prospects utilizing 3-D seismic technology
  • Development Prospects generally operated by regional experts in Michigan.
  • Core Energy, LLC dilutes its ownership in prospects via promoted or sold interest to other industry partners to manage Core's exploratory risk.
• All of Core Energy's business activity is located in the State of Michigan.
  • Current CO2 EOR operations are in Otsego County.
    • Core Energy currently operates the only five fields that have been flooded with CO2 in the State of Michigan.
      • Incremental recoveries are promising and demonstrate repeatability. 
  • Exploration efforts are focused in West Michigan.
    • Application of 3,500 miles of 2-D seismic data and 176 miles of 3-D seismic data in West Michigan that has been reprocessed and interpreted using modern technology and techniques.
      • A seismic library of this magnitude has never been established for use in West Michigan.
      • Use of this data has resulted in the discovery of reefs in 10 of the 13 attempts over a four-year period, or 77% compared to a historical industry average that is closer to 20%.
